There was a GUARANTEE by The RX on BOS.I got them all the paper work and everything appeared to be ok.
First it is not the money, this is principle.
Let me start by saying that I told them that I wanted my money to be placed in a contest to be paid to the winner here on the RX in my name.
They hit me with you DID NOT qualify because you had less then 30 posts.Could have say something a year ago.
I was one of the originals here, you see Jan. 2000 but it was before that.I also had another user name,it was my own and I asked to change it because no one else used their names.I wrote Rick before I put this on this SITE,I am not going to write on any other site.He reaplied you didnt have 30 end of story.
But with my 2 names I did .Even if I didnt I was VERY LOYAL HERE. I went to their BASH,not the last one.I wasnt a guy just trying to get money.
IT WAS GUYS LIKE ME THAT IN THE BEGINNING WERE ON THE SITE.
It is around 5,000,not close to actual money lost to their other offices.I always knew they were crooks(BOS) and saw this coming but close to continue with them.
What is Forums feelings, should We not be paid by THE RX guarantee?BEENAROUND101 didnt have 30 posts.I am or was a loyal member here DEPENDING on the outcome of this post.I have meet some of you at the Bash at the GOLDEN NUDGET.Im sure more most people that were paid on this guarantee havent been to a BASH.

BeenAround -

As I said in my emails to you, I am sorry that you do not qualify for the guarantee. There were not very many stipulations on the guarantee, but having more posts than MartyJ was one of them. You have given me no other information other than 'I've been here forever' and 'I had a lot of posts under another name'.

We have already paid claims larger than yours, so this is not about the money.

Thanks
Rick

i've been around a long time and lived a lot.when someone says 'its not about the money..." it's always about the money. nothing wrong with that but "cash is king" is a motto without exception.

I would humbly disagree

I have had several situations in my wagering life where things have happened, I knew I got screwed..and it was no longer about recovering the funds but rather showing what a crock of sh1t it was

I dunno about this particular poster, but I can say that blanket statement is not true 100% of the time

For the record this is the offer Marty made over two years ago.

At the time of this post Marty had 105 posts or so.

I am so convinced that this a legitimate, straight, group I will personally guarantee anyone's deposit who is a regular poster on The Rx (meaning more posts then me!), up to a maximum of $10,000 per poster!!

Just because someone registered years ago and disappeared from the site or even if he lurked there were no posts made during those five years to speak of, this doesn't make that person a loyal poster. The wording is clear at the time of the offer Bendaround had less that 35 posts. He has made 70 posts since Sept. 22nd. of 2005 according to the search engine. Which prooves he had less posts than Marty did at the time of the offer.

I have no idea what he is talking about regarding BOS contests in his second post in this thread.

This guy says he gave the other name to someone yet RickA says he doesn't have it. Come up with your other posting name in this thread.

I deleted the obscene and very abusive posts by Stosh. The rule is a rule, pretty simple to figure out. Despite the fact that we are honoring our promise we still get abuse because someone who didn't qualify is not being paid money that The Rx.com very possibly could have had nothing to do with him depositing at BOS to begin with anyway, seeing how he has been around for so long.

The guarantee was designed to protect posters who were loyal Rxers with a very low post count of barely over 100 posts at the time of the guarantee and deposited at BOS because we hung their banner here in late July of 2005. Unfortunately for Bendover101 he didn't qualify. Plenty of others did.

Are you sure you have Martyj's post count correct? I thought I remembered when he posted the guarantee that he was in the low 20's. If you do a search of his posts it only comes up with 34, 15 of which are prior to the one stating the guarantee. Why do only 34 of his posts show up now using the search feature?

Also weren't many of MartyJ's posts made in relation to his NFL contests that occured after the guarantee?

It appears that the spirit of the rule should be that if this poster signed up due to the RX endorsing BOS as an advertiser then they should pay up. There are members here with over 1000 posts but the majority of their posts are meaningless jargon with a lot of bitching and moaning. The number of posts therefore is not a good barometer regarding loyalty. It seems if this guy wants to get paid he needs to plead his case a bit more forcefully in order for members here to take his side. I will say I do give the RX credit in trying to help players solve disputes. The RX has come a long way in this area since the days when SHRINK was for SHRINK and in the pockets of the Books.
